About Our School

Liberty Point Elementary School is located in Union City, Georgia. Liberty Point Elementary School was built in this suburban community in 2002, as part of the South Learning Community of Fulton County Schools. It is one of 59 elementary schools in Fulton County Schools. Over the past five years, Liberty Point has made tremendous academic gains. The school’s College and Career Readiness Performance Index (CCRPI) score has increased from 58.6 (F) to 83.5 (B). Liberty Point is the highest-performing elementary school in the South Learning Community. The school’s overall academic performance is higher than 78 percent of the schools in the state of Georgia. The vision statement for the school is to create successful, well-prepared students who perform at their individual best. The four-year graduation rate for Langston Hughes, the feeder high school, is 88.8 percent; therefore, it is necessary for the elementary school to build the foundational skills to prepare students to compete on a higher level.

Currently, there are approximately 740 students enrolled. 100 percent of the school’s population is eligible for free and/or reduced-price meals. The racial breakdown is 91% Black, 5% Hispanic, 1% White, and 3% Multi-racial.
